Cruise lines don't usually lower your fare automatically — but many will adjust it if you ask before final payment. Here's the general picture.

Ask for a repricing

  • US and Canadian guests can generally request a lower fare before the final-payment date.
  • The same cabin category must have dropped, and the fare can't be restricted to new bookings.
  • You may get the difference as a lower fare or as onboard credit, depending on the fare.
Carnival

Early Saver price protection

  • Carnival's Early Saver fare includes price protection on the total cruise price.
  • Protection runs until 2 days before sailing: a lower fare before final payment, onboard credit after it.
  • Other Carnival fares have their own rules — check yours.

Are you affiliated with a cruise line?

No. Royal Price Matching is an independent service run by Velatris Analytics Inc. We aren't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any cruise line.

How often do you check prices?

Three times a day for every plan — at 07:05, 13:05 and 19:05 UTC. Plans differ in how often alerts can reach you: from after every check to one digest every couple of days.

Will the cruise line definitely give me the lower price?

Not always. It depends on your fare type, cabin category and how close you are to final payment. We tell you when the price changes; the cruise line's fare rules decide whether you can claim the difference.

Do I need a credit card to start?

No. The free Deckhand plan needs only an e-mail address. You can upgrade later; payments are handled securely by Stripe.
